Nicholla Raube Creative

I worked for several years at Wieden and Kennedy London. Wieden’s has been selected for consecutive years as Global Agency of the year. Known for it’s outstanding creative work and culture. I started with my maiden name Nicholla Longley, and primarily as an Art Director, whilst there I also developed into a copywriter, and left as a Creative Director to join the global agency JWT London. There I was a Creative Director overseeing creative teams on local and global accounts. I have worked on all manner of clients from everyday to luxury, sport to chocolate, in all different markets and territories.

I am now US based in Milwaukee I creative direct, art direct and copywrite at a senior level. I have strength in helping build brand truths and strategies to get to the right point for communication and creative to bounce off. I have experience in building brand guidelines and setting the brand voice for all communication. I enjoy writing brand manifesto’s which often creative blooms from. I’ve won many pitches and am highly experienced in working with clients directly. I enjoy developing original big thought campaigns that work and inspire but can also work on a micro level of specific product advertising. 360 integrated campaigns. Executing campaigns. Leading individuals, nurturing teams, outsourcing and directing graphic designers, directors etc to bring out the best in people and the creative work.

My advertising awards include a Bronze Lion at Cannes, FAB awards, I was selected as one of the top ten creative teams in London and selected as one of the top 30 women globally in the WPP network outside of North America to attend the Charlotte Beers course for outstanding women in advertising.

I studied Fine Art and digital art in London at Middlesex University and St Martin School of Art. I have a BA (hons) Fine Art degree.

My art work has been exhibited at the UCP Gallery, London. Phoenix Picture House, Oxford. Brooklyn Art Library, NY and the National Academy of Art in Oslo, Norway.

I aim to create beautiful pieces that take you somewhere, that have an imaginative and ethereal quality. I tend to be drawn to animals, nature and dancers, all of which I find inspiring. I’ve developed a sculptural layering technique which whilst labor intensive results in a sculptural breathing quality to the painting. I take on commissions for corporate and residential spaces. I never cease in the enjoyment of my paintings hanging on someone else’s wall or my illustrations in the pages of a book and seeing the joy the work gives others.
